In chess it is all about the chess strategies and how well a player is able to implement it in the field of play.
In the game of chess there are sixteen pieces per player of which eight are pawns and other eight are pieces which have specific kind of movement across the board. There are several strategies used at present based on the movements of the back row pieces.
One basic concept of playing chess is not to hold back the pieces in defensive play as it will not help for long time. The player must feel free to advance his pieces into enemy ranks but has to do it in sensible steps based on a planned on agenda. A player must also realize the skills of the opponent sooner than later as it can be disastrous to underestimate your opponent in any game let alone a deceptive game such as chess.
The chess games strategy involves numerous tactics per strategy. There are several different tactics which can help a player get better at chess. Some of them are discussed here. It is important for a player to carefully plan his every move instead of going with his instinct. He has to value the strengths and weaknesses of his pieces and make them complement each other by forming a team.
Next tactic is knowing the value of the pieces .This helps the player to decide when to sacrifice a piece of his own to take out opponent’s higher valued piece or taking control of key positions which helps to put his strategy on track.
Another tactic involves judging the opponent’s move as it may reveal the base of his strategy which can help the player prepare for counter attack or stop the opponent’s strategy on its track. You have to think carefully for every move of the opponent as he may play deception also. So do not decide too soon on opponent’s strategy.
